🎨 Little Hands, Big Fun: Apple Stamping

A Sweet Little Back-to-School Craft

Celebrate the start of a new school year with a classic apple craft! 🍎 This simple activity is perfect for little hands and makes a sweet keepsake for the fridge or playroom.

What You'll Need

  • 🍎 1 apple

  • 🎨 Washable red, green, or yellow paint

  • 📄 White cardstock or construction paper

  • 🖌️ Paintbrush

  • 🖍️ Crayons or markers

Let's Make It!

  1. Cut an apple in half.

  2. Let your little one dip the cut side into washable paint.

  3. Press the apple onto the paper to create apple prints.

  4. Once dry, add a stem and leaves with a marker or crayon.

  5. Have your little artist add their name and the date for a sweet keepsake!

🍎 Little Table Tip

Turn your finished artwork into a “Welcome Back to School” sign or use it as a colorful place card for a back-to-school playdate!

Little hands. Big creativity.

🛍️ This Month’s Little Hidden Gem

Amazon Find of the Month | A Little More Independence

One of my favorite kinds of finds are the ones that make everyday life with little ones just a little easier. And a little more beautiful!

The KidSwitch Lightswitch Extension is such a clever little detail for toddlers who are eager to do things independently. It brings the light switch within their reach without changing the existing fixture, and the Laurie Berkner Edition includes charming art decals that make it feel playful while still blending effortlessly into a child’s space.

It’s a small addition, but one that encourages those early moments of independence: turning on their own light, heading into their room, and feeling just a little more “big.”

A simple, thoughtful find that earns its place in our home.

Q. We'd love to know more about you—please tell the community your 'Why' behind your business.

  • Little Ham’s Infant Aquatics was created from a place every parent understands—love, fear, and the deep desire to keep our children safe. When my own son started swim lessons at just 6 months old, I saw firsthand how life-changing those skills were. It wasn’t just about swimming—it was about confidence, independence, and most importantly, safety. As a mom, that peace of mind is everything. With my background in occupational therapy and a heart for working with young children, I knew I wanted to bring this life-saving skill to other families in our community. Drowning is fast and silent—but it’s also preventable. That’s why I teach survival-based swimming: giving even the youngest babies the ability to roll onto their back, float, breathe, and rest until help arrives. At Little Ham’s, it’s not just about lessons. It’s about equipping children with a skill that could save their life—and giving parents the confidence that their child is safer in and around water. Because every child deserves that chance.

Q. What charitable initiative are you most passionate about within our local community?

  • Bringing awareness on drowning prevention

Q. We’re all about celebrating our neighbors — which local business holds a special place at your table? 💛

💕 Giving Back

Giving back has always been an important part of The Little Table Co. While this month’s featured organization isn’t local to our area, it holds a special place in our hearts because of the direct impact it recently had on a family from our community.

Ronald McDonald House Arkansas & North Louisiana

This August, The Little Table Co. is proud to shine a light on Ronald McDonald House Arkansas & North Louisiana, an organization dedicated to keeping families close when their children need medical care.

This organization became especially meaningful to our family last month when my little sister and her husband found themselves navigating an unexpected NICU stay with their newest daughter, Annie. During an incredibly uncertain season, Ronald McDonald House provided them with a place to stay close to Annie — offering comfort and peace of mind when being near their daughter mattered most.

Through their Houses and Family Rooms, they provide families with comfort, essential resources, and a place to stay close to their child during some of life’s most difficult moments. In 2025 alone, the organization provided more than 19,000 nights of rest, served over 2,500 families, and provided more than 151,000 meals.

We experienced firsthand just how meaningful that support can be. When families are facing something big, the little things matter — a warm meal, a comfortable place to rest, or simply knowing they aren't alone. 🤍

We are incredibly grateful for the support they provided to our family and honored to share their mission with our Little Table Co. community.

Want to Help?

There are many ways to support Ronald McDonald House, from making a donation to providing items from their wish lists or volunteering your time.
